Land Takeoffs, Inc., a Delaware corporation based in Greenville, South Carolina ("Land Takeoffs", "we", "us"), provides land-development software, including the takeoff service at landtakeoffs.com/gradingiq, its API, and the Land Takeoffs connector for AI assistants such as Claude and ChatGPT (together, the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these terms. If you use the Service for a company, you agree for that company.
You need an account to use the takeoff service. Keep your sign-in, API keys, and connected apps secure; you are responsible for activity under your account. You must be at least 18. Tell us right away at support@landtakeoffs.com if you think your account has been misused.
Takeoffs use prepaid credits. Credit packs are paid in advance through Stripe. A CAD takeoff uses 1 credit, and a plan set uses 1 credit per 100 pages. A takeoff that fails is not charged. Deleting a project does not return the credits it used.
Unused credits are refundable within 30 days of purchase if none of that pack has been used. Email support@landtakeoffs.com to request a refund. Otherwise, purchases are final.
Credits do not expire while your account is active.
If you turn on auto-reload, you authorize us to charge your saved card for the pack you chose whenever your balance falls below your threshold. You can turn it off at any time on your account page.
We may change prices for future purchases. Changes never affect credits you already bought.
You keep all rights to the plans, CAD files, and other files you upload ("Your Content") and to the takeoff results and reports we produce for you. You give us permission to store, copy, and process Your Content to provide the Service and, as described in our Privacy Policy, to test and improve the accuracy of our takeoffs. You can opt out of accuracy use by emailing support@landtakeoffs.com. We do not sell Your Content or share it with other customers.
You confirm that you have the right to upload Your Content and to let us process it. For example, you received the plans for a bid or project.
Takeoff results are produced by software, including AI, from the documents you provide. They are estimates to support your own estimating work, not engineering, surveying, or professional advice, and they are not a substitute for reviewing the plans. Results can be incomplete or wrong, especially when plans are unclear, revised, or missing information. You are responsible for checking quantities before you use them in a bid, contract, or construction decision.

When you connect Land Takeoffs to an AI assistant, that assistant's provider (for example Anthropic or OpenAI) governs your use of the assistant itself under its own terms. We are responsible for the Land Takeoffs tools and the data we receive. You can disconnect an assistant at any time in its settings or on your account page.
We work to keep the Service available but do not guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error free. We may add, change, or remove features. If we discontinue the takeoff service, we will give at least 30 days' notice and refund unused credits.
Except as stated in these terms, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, to the extent the law allows.
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost bids, or construction costs, arising from the Service or from takeoff results.
Our total liability for any claim arising from the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
You can stop using the Service and ask us to delete your account at any time by emailing support@landtakeoffs.com. We may suspend or end accounts that violate these terms. Sections 4 (license for content already processed, until deleted), 5, 9, 10 and 12 continue after your account ends.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of South Carolina. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Greenville County, South Carolina.
We may update these terms. We will post the new version here with a new date, and email you about material changes at least 14 days before they take effect. Continuing to use the Service after that means you accept the update.
